Jeroni Fajardo and all the Vertigo team headed to France for the third round of the FIM X-Trial 2017, which took part in the Marseille, a beautiful city located by the sea in the south of the French country.Jeroni arrived to the event tied in points with Albert Cabestany in the third spot of the championship standings, so this weekend’s event became crucial in terms of the podium aspirations as the end of the series comes closer.
The night began quite well, as Jeroni was able to pass the first section with only one mark in his card, but then, the problems began for the Vertigo rider, struggling with the following three sections sufferingthree consecutive fives, a set back that was impossible to recover finishing with a total of sixteen points, the same punctuation as Takahisa Fujinami, forcing them to tie-break for the fifth place of the night. Jeroni finally couldn’t beat his rival, being a sixth place his result in Marseille.
Tough night for the Vertigo rider, who now sits in fourth in the championship standings, eight points behind the third position. The last round of the 2017 FIM X-Trial World Championship is set for this weekend, riders won’t have to leave France, being Nice the new destination for the them.
