JERONI FAJARDO RISES TO THE THIRD PODIUM DRAWER IN ARNEDILLO

The heat was the incessant companion of all the riders in this new event of the Spanish Trial Championship. The high temperatures forced to give the maximum, reason why the concentration and a good conservation of the physical state and the mechanics were fundamental in a career of so much wear.

Jeroni Fajardo arrived at Arnedillo after a very difficult start to the Championship, as his baggage to date was 7º in Manacor de la Vall and 5º in Sigüenza. With the aim of improving these results Fajardo started the trial very concentrated and knowing that the day was going to be very hard. In the first round handed a card with 17 penalty points, only surpassed by Toni Bou (Montesa) and Adam Raga (TRS). This first step through the demanding areas of La Rioja already allowed him to open some distance with the chasing pilots, an advantage that should be administered in the second round to stay in the podium positions.

Far from lowering the pace, Fajardo could still improve his score in the second step through the zones, letting five points escape to finish with 12 in the second round. Despite the improvement, our driver could not pass Adam Raga (TRS), who passed him by three points of difference. Lapiedra loose caused a significant loss of grip, so you had to drive very carefully. This was something that Fajardo knew how to dominate, and thanks to this solid second round sealed the third position of the podium with 15 points of difference compared to the fourth classified.

This result allows Fajardo to be placed 4th of the provisional championship, after recovering much of the lost ground in the first two events of the national contest. Only 2 points separate you from the third position. The next round of the Spanish Trial Championship will be in a month in Sant Corneli (Barcelona), where Fajardo will look to prolong his great form.
