VERTIGO AND THE GELABERT BROTHERS AGREE TO PART WAYS

Vertigo would like to announce via this official press release the agreement to part ways, by mutual agreement, with Factory riders Miquel and Aniol Gelabert. Both riders were due to compete in the TrialGP, Trial2 and Spanish Series in the premier class. This decision is as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the huge impact this has had globally and on the motorcycle sector. In addition with all the races at both a National and World Championship level having been cut back drastically it has been decided to reduce our large Factory Team to a more manageable size.

Vertigo will now focus on the development of its current models with its number one rider, Jaime Busto & long serving brand Ambassador Dougie Lampkin, while keeping a strong line up of international riders in the form of Berta Abellán, Jack Price, Lorenzo Gandola, Hugo Dufrese and Pau Martinez meaning we still have an extremely promising and strong Team of talented riders.

Vertigo Motors would like to thank Miquel and Aniol Gelabert for all their hard work & dedication in the short but intense period of time they have been riding for the brand. We would also like to wish them the best of luck in their new projects and professional careers.

VERTIGO MAKES THE DIFFICULT DECISION NOT TO LINE-UP IN POBLADURA

Vertigo Spain has made the difficult decision to miss as a team the second round of the Spanish Championship set to take place in Pobladura de las Regueras, León, this weekend.

After evaluating the exceptional situation in which we currently find ourselves, with a significant increase of the restrictions and Covid-19 outbrakes in the last few hours, the Factory has been forced to take this drastic but necessary resolution towards preserving the health and security of riders, mechanics and team members that normally go to the races.

Vertigo’s commitment to the Spanish Championship remains the same, so this official press release wants to clarify that the absence in this race exclusively follows the reason stated above. In that sense, the whole team is looking forward to being back to the National series for the next round scheduled on September 26th in Baiona, Pontevedra.
