VERTIGO UNVEILS NEW MODELS AT EICMA

Almost twelve months to the day since Vertigo Motors unveiled its first ever model, earlier today the Spanish company has once again used the international stage of the EICMA motorcycle exhibition in Milan, Italy to lift the covers on several new projects in front of the World’s media during its official press call.

Once again it was the familiar and well-known face of Vertigo’s ex multi FIM Trial World Champion brand ambassador Dougie Lampkin who had the honour of leading the unveiling ceremony. Lampkin stood proudly alongside his own still dirty Scottish Six Days Trial winning Vertigo Combat as he made a short speech that outlined the success the company and team has achieved during its first year before moving on to new and topical matters.

Lampkin used the occasion to welcome newly signed factory rider Jeroni Fajardo to the Vertigo family (click here to read more about VERTIGO + FAJARDO JOIN FORCES) before he then handed over to Vertigo engineer manager Francesc Romani who explained more about the technical aspects of each bike as the covers were lifted on the new models one by one.

The models unveiled and introduced included three versions of the Vertigo Combat – Camo + Ice Hell + RR – the latter of these representing the brand’s flagship offering that incorporates a titanium frame as Vertigo continues it’s plan to innovate and set new standards within the Trial market.

This line up was complimented by the arrival of the new Vertigo Vandal model in two different versions. Both Vandal models use the same revolutionary two-stroke fuel injected engine as the Combat, but overall the S version follows a more traditional Trial format whilst the LR version has been designed as a long ride option.

In addition to its Trial focused projects Vertigo also presented their URSUS concept ‘urban-off-road’ prototype scooter that reflects the company’s strong non-tarmac roots and focus. Aside from their two wheel powered products Vertigo’s sister brand Crossbow proudly displayed its range of Trial cycles, frames and associated components to reinforce the collective and forward thinking collaboration between the two companies.

Commenting on today’s unveilings Vertigo Motors Sales Manager – Xavi Vilalta confirmed. “This is another very important moment for Vertigo, to be able to introduce so many new and exciting projects just one year after we made our debut here in Milan shows just how far the brand has come in such a short space of time and how serious it is about continuing to set new standards within this sector now and in the future.”

Xavi concluded by saying. “Over the coming days we look forward to sharing these with the global network partners we have in place already, any new potential distributors and of course the public who we hope will enjoy what we have to show them on the Vertigo stand here at EICMA.”

Vertigo Motors can be found in Pavilion 13 – Stand O56.

VERTIGO TO UNVEIL SERIES OF NEW MODELS AT EICMA – MILAN

Vertigo Motors will use the opportunity of the famous EICMA motorcycle exhibition in Milan, Italy to be held 19th to 22nd November 2015, to unveil a series of new models just a year after the Spanish manufacturer first broke cover with its applauded Combat Trial model.

The Barcelona based company has been busy over the last twelve months with the continued development of its initial Combat model whilst competing and proving the revolutionary fuel injected two-stroke machine at the highest level. Factory riders James Dabill and Francesc Moret have both recorded some strong results in the 2015 FIM Trial World Championship, with Dabill also going on to win the British Championship to give the brand its first-ever national title. Moret’s end to the season was equally impressive as he netted the runners up spot in the European series.

However the most important and significant victory for Vertigo to date was achieved by brand ambassador Dougie Lampkin who captured the win at the grueling Scottish Six Days Trial back in May to confirm the reliability and performance of the then prototype machine at its first attempt at this much revered event.

Based on this sporting success Vertigo Motors will use EICMA to display the 2016 Combat production model that was recently launched to selected distributors and media, but is yet to be viewed by the wider audience. In addition to revealing the updated Combat model, the exhibition in Milan will also give the Spanish company the opportunity to unveil a series of other new and exciting projects.

These will all be presented to the media at 12.00hrs on 17th November 2015 during Vertigo Motor’s official press call.

Vertigo Motors can be found in Pavilion 13 – Stand O56.

VERTIGO + LAMPKIN EXTEND RELATIONSHIP

Vertigo Motors is delighted to confirm that brand ambassador and development rider Dougie Lampkin has recently agreed terms to extend his initial relationship with the Barcelona based company that will allow the two parties to enjoy a phase of engagement. This new agreement will see Lampkin, who has been instrumental in the development of the Vertigo Combat from its early prototype stages through to the release of the latest production model, continue his association with the Spanish make as both look to the future.

Dougie’s undoubted pedigree and experience, that includes twelve FIM Trial World titles and nine Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) wins during his long and illustrious career, has been a valued addition to the project to date and has resulted in an already proven trial bike that has set new standards within this specialised sector. Confirming both the performance and reliability of the fuel injected two stroke powered Combat model even its prototype version, Dougie himself recording an outstanding and historic victory at the World famous SSDT earlier this year.

In between refining the production version to create an incredible easy bike to ride for the average user, Dougie has also over seen the Vertigo factory team comprising of James Dabill and Francesc Moret during its maiden season of competing at the highest level. Both Dabill and Moret have achieved recognised results in the 2015 FIM Trial World Championship against the very best riders in the World. Reinforcing the incredible sporting success of the prototype Combat in its debut year, Dabill gave the team its first national title as he wrapped up the British Championship whilst Moret was a close runner in the Euro series.

Speaking about extending his relationship with Vertigo Dougie said. “It goes without saying that I am delighted to be able to remain inside the Vertigo family going forward. From day one we all knew that this was a long-term project, so it is nice that I can now continue to play my part in the next phase and have the opportunity to further develop the Combat and the other new models that we will bring to market in the future.”

“It is really amazing just how far we have come in what is really a relatively short period of time when it comes to creating a ground breaking bike from a blank piece of paper. I think we have already shown just how serious Vertigo is in terms of developing the next generation of trial bikes and how focused we are about quality and reliability.”

“Winning the Scottish at Vertigo’s first attempt was a real dream come true and just shows the incredible passion and experience that we have inside the team and back at the factory. I really hope that along with the achievements of both James and Francesc, 2015 has been just the start of many incredible seasons for Vertigo and has formed the first chapter in what will become a long history for the brand.”

Lampkin rounded off by saying. “Finally I would like to thank Manel (Jane) and everyone at Vertigo for the last two years and for giving me the opportunity to remain part of this very special project.”

Dougie again will be present as Vertigo Motors will use the occasion of this year’s EICMA motorcycle exhibition in Milan, Italy to display the 2016 Combat production model that was recently launched to selected distributors and media, but is yet to be viewed by the wider audience. In addition to revealing the updated Combat model, the exhibition in Milan will also give the Spanish company the opportunity to unveil a selection of other new and exciting projects.
